Beach Beacon Student Ministry

Students grades 6-12 are all invited to join us for TEACHING, MENTORING, FELLOWSHIP and MISSIONS. Our students will find solid Biblical teaching and discussion in a fun and safe environment.

Wednesday Night Youth Fellowship and Bible Study

Middle and High School Youth Group meets on Wednesday Nights from 6pm – 7:45pm. Middle Schoolers are led by Alex and Maimunat Adeomi in our TREK program. TREK is our Awana Club curriculum for Middle School Students. TREK challenges students to wrestle with the three most important questions they’re asking in middle school: Who am I?, Why am I here? and Who’s with me? By allowing students to dive deep into the Scriptures and answer these questions for themselves they are encouraged to develop their own faith in Christ.

ELEVATE is our High School Small Group which is led by Pastor Neil Johnston. Each Wednesday begins with a combined fellowship/activity (Middle and High School combined) before the groups split for study time. ELEVATE seeks to challenge high school students to reach for their God given purpose- which is to serve Christ. ELEVATE utilizes short term small group studies that are interactive and involve prayer and discussion. Some of the study materials used are authored by pastors such as Francis Chan, Craig Groeschel and Louie Gigglio. ELEVATE is a place to come to have fun, meet other students and learn about God’s plan for your life.

Sunday Small Group Fellowship

Our Students meet on Sunday mornings from 9:00am to 9:45am for Sunday Small Group. The curriculum being used is Lifeway's The Gospel Project.

Neil Johnston is the Student Ministry Pastor here @ Beach Beacon. Neil is married, has three children and has lived most of his life in Virginia Beach. Neil has a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University Bapstist Theological Seminary. Our student ministry mission statement is “Beach Beacon Student Ministry exists , in partnership with families, to love middle and high school students and inspire them to follow and serve Christ.” Beach Beacon Students are loved and challenged here !
